The house is located in the pristine West coast town of Paternoster. The house follows a traditional H-plan form with the roof plane and gables dominating the building mass.

The ground floor living areas and en-suite main bedroom open out to a timber deck creating a seamless link with the ocean beyond. Corner windows are introduced to link the interior spaces with the natural beauty beyond. A layered approach was followed with the white washed boundary walls, fire place and balconies treated as clip on elements to the main structure.

The loft areas are utilized for bedrooms and open plan areas which can be revised as the use of the house change through time.

The sea facing bedroom has a double door opening up on to a balcony taking in the sounds and ambience of the coastline.
